Mug Madness with Alaina / Weds12-3pm
Prerequisite Basic Throwing Level 1
Service Description
In this 4 session, 3 hour each session course Alaina will guide you through exercises to improve basic throwing skills. We will not be keeping many pots from this class, we will be focused on skillbuilding and streamlining your process. This class is perfect for those who: - have taken a class or two and are looking to kickstart further progress - want to fine tune their throwing skills - are looking to expand, change, or refine their mug forms We will start by throwing and analyzing many many cylinders. Next, we will complete an exercise exploring varied mug shapes. We will continue on to learn a simple and versatile handle technique. The last day of class we will critique our mugs together and go over production style glazing. Course fee includes 25 pounds of clay, use of tool kit, shelf space, all glazes and firings, plus additional 35+ Open Practice hours in which students are encouraged to practice and play.

We understand that life can throw curve balls and that there will be times when students will find it necessary to change their class bookings. Similarly, Pottery Works strives to bring you the region’s best, most skillful instructors, and we truly value their time and commitment to teaching in our studio, so while we cannot not offer refunds for missed classes, we are willing to work toward rescheduling services (once only), provided we are given 72 hours notice. We do not issue refunds. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
